The Black Girl Magic Summit

The Black Girl Magic Summit, founded and hosted by Zahra, is a first-of-its-kind youth empowerment experience in The Bahamas. The Summit brings together girls from across the community to celebrate who they are, embrace their unique magic, and learn the tools to lead with confidence, purpose, and vision.
In its inaugural year, the Summit was a resounding success — drawing support from corporate sponsors including Atlantis Paradise Island, the Caribbean’s largest resort, and earning nationwide media coverage.
The day opened with inspiring words from the First Lady of The Bahamas, Ann Marie Davis, and featured an extraordinary lineup of global and local women leaders who poured into the girls on topics like:
- Empowerment and leadership
- Literacy and the power of storytelling
- Self-worth and embracing your authentic self
- Financial literacy and investing in your future
- Vision-setting and goal mapping
- Passion, purpose, and the pursuit of dreams
Zahra herself led a session on leadership and literacy, reminding the girls: “You don’t have to be an adult to make a difference.”
The Summit was a day filled with joy, sisterhood, and empowerment — leaving every participant inspired to shine their Black Girl Magic even brighter.
